Dinner fit for a......FaMiLY?

My kids loved this. It is a bean and cheese flauta (deep fried in EVOO) with lettuce, toms and sour cream & Guac. Y to the U to the M to the M to the Y!!!! So so good.

DaDDy and DOyle

Every night when DOyle hears his dad come in the front door he runs up to him and the first thing out of his cute little mouth is "Dad lets wesle and Fight, K dad" It is so funny. Well this time Brian took him in his room and they did just that. Doyle LoVeD it. Then he wanted to play hide and go seek and hid in the same place everytime, it was too funny!!!!

"No mom, I will take our the trash & clean your kitchen"

Oh Bubba D gotta love him, He was so excited to take out the garbage and do my floor he didn't even have time to dress after his bath the other night. What a sweetie, always putting mom and cleaning before himself!!!!

"Cola Chicken" YUMMY!!!!!

This is the most delicious chicken EveR..... It will become your FavORitE way to cook your chicken!!! Try it, It's ScRuMpTiOuS:)
4 chicken breast (boneless skinless)
1 can Diet Coke( I have also made it with regular coke and it was good too)
1 Cup Ketchup
Put chicken in non stick skillet and Pour Ketchup and diet cola over top. Bring to boil. Cover, reduce heat and cook for 45 min. remove lid and turn heat up and continue to cook till sauce thickens and sticks to chicken... It makes the best BBQ flavor YUMMY!!!!

Molasses Memories!!!

My Grammie Leighton was visiting us for about 3 weeks and having her so close by brought back alot of memories for me. First and foremost was when she made her Molasses cookies and yep I got the reciepe. These little cookies brought the memories of me as a little girl living in a hick town called Willcox. (no offense to the family still there;)
I remember always coming into Grammies house and knowing there would ALWAYS be cookies in her glass brown cookie jar. It reminds me of the many christmas's spent at Grammies and Pupa's house with Gigi eating her raindeer candycane's and big bowls of homemade eggnog, the talent shows and pupa reading the christmas story. Then we would all go outside and see Santa and his reindeer flying over grammies and rush home to our bedroom with christmas lights hanging in our room with a little christmas tree. The smell of Grammies has been permiating through out my house for the last couple of days and I love how much that brings back. I love listening to good ol frank sinatra and all the old timers. I love to listen to that music and just reminis. Wow too think cookies brought all this on, but hey if you tasted them and smelled your house as they were cooking, you would always want them in your cookie jar too!!!!!!

Yummy Taco Soup!!!

I got this recipe off our cluff family website and I made it last night and served it with Fritos chips. It was so good but it makes a ton like 12-15 servings so I took some over to my favorite neighbors and still have left overs for Brian for lunch!! It's so good you won't mind!

FAST AND EASY TACO SOUP

1 can pinto beans

1 can kidney beans

1 can black beans

1 can tomatoes with green chilies

1 can fiesta cheese soup

1 can white corn,drained

2 pkg. taco seasoning

2 pkg. hidden valley ranch dressing mix

1 small onion, cooked with hamburger

2 lbs. hamburger, cooked,drained

1 1/2 cans water

Mix all ingredients (including juice from beans) together in Large pot. Cook hamburger and onions; drain and add to pot of beans. simmer until hot. It can be ready in 15 min. It makes alot so freeze some or invite you friends. serves 12 to 15

Maddie Christine Player

We have a new addition to the family.... This is my niece Maddie Christine Player. She was born today at 1:30 and weighed in at 8lbs 2oz and 19 inches long. she is so adorable. I got to be in there when she was born and I am grinning from ear to ear. And now ready for one of my own :) Not announcing anything but I am so baby hungry. Congrats to Matt and Kristen we love you guys

You were the princess....now your just a mom!

I was hanging my clothes up in my closet just now and Doyle was looking at a picture that i have of me and Brian on our wedding day that is on one of my shelves in the closet. He says to me

D: Mom this is you?

M: yep, that is the day I married daddy.

D: You were the princess?

M: I guess i was, that was so nice to say to mommy son!

D: Now you are just a mom :0

I didn't know quite what to say but I guess we have to princesses before we can become mommies. Cause you can't be a princess and a mommy is that what he's telling me. Oh well I can't be to hard on myself......Cinderella became a princess ;)

Fast Sunday Lunch

On Fast Sundays we have a pot luck lunch. This time we got to have Grammie from Willcox join us and it was so much fun! I love getting together with family!
