OH MY GOSH...............

I found these pics of when we went to pick cambry up from the hospital in Utah and thought they were to cute.
Doyle wasn't to sure of the hospital thing;) She sure was happy to see him though.
Here we are at the airport in Phoenix- waiting for the shuttle
Cambry before the surgery-morphines working
My 2 patients
going nuts- Primary Children's Hospital-Utah
Right before they took her to the Operating room

Okay so this is a little recap of what happen in our lives since Wed Night (5-4-08) Cambry woke up around 10:00pm wed night and was complaining that her stomach was hurting, full blown tears, well I rocked her back to sleep and put her back in her bed. At 2:00 she came in to me and said that it was really really hurting ,so i put her on the couch and turned on a movie for her and layed there beside her. Well she started throwing up and for every 15 minutes for the next 8 hours this little girl threw up. FLU YOU MIGHT ASK... just wait it gets better.

She fell asleep around 11:00am that morning and slept till about 2:00 mean while i was finishing packing us cause we had to leave by 3:00 to make our flight at 8:00 that night. She woke up at 2:00 and said that she felt alot better. We got the car packed brought a towel and bowl just in case and headed for Mesa. she wasn't really hungry on the way there but about globe she asked if she could have some of Doyle's bean burro and so she did. we got to the airport and she started complaining that her tummy was hurting again. I got out and went to check in our baggage at curbside and Brian was bringing me the luggage well Kaely leans out the window and SCREAMS "Mom, Cambry is throwing up her Bean burro" I leave Brian at the curb and run back to the truck where i find Little Cambry puking up the BB so I take the bowl and toss the contents under Brian's truck and we go to park the truck. we get to the airportand she is hurting pretty bad by now! We get on the plane and she dry heaves a few times on the plane then lays on Brian's lap and falls asleep for about the last 30 min of the flight but by now she is running a temp. we get her off the plane at about 10:00pm (6-5-08)and decide that because she is so sick and the house we were staying at has kids that mom and dad should probably take her with them to sleep. so we get to Tooele Ut about 12:00 midnight and get Kaely and Doyle to sleep and we get to bed about 1:15. I was so excited to sleep seeing as I hadn't slept since 11:00 Wed night!!! I get a phone call at 2:00am(there's that magic # 2) from my mother in law that cambry is really restless and has started running another temp and she thought that we needed to take her to the ER and I felt that it had to do something with her appendix too so Christi put cambry in the car and came and picked me up. We got to the ER in Tooele at about 2:30am and were there till 5:00am. The Dr then came in and told us that he really felt like this was her appendix because of how much pain she was in and said that we weren't going to like his recomendation but she needed to go to the primaries in Salt Lake City. (45 min away) so he gave her some morphine for the ride and it knocked her out! Christi and i put her in the car and we drove to Sarah and Nathan's house where we were staying and picked up Brian then Christi stayed with Kaely and Doyle and Me and Brian took Cambry into Salt Lake. The Dr. from Tooele called them and told them we were coming so when we got there they knew who we were and took us right back. This place was great. We saw 6 Dr's 4 nurses and 2 surgical Dr's. they gave her more morphine and by 10:00am we were signing papers for surgery. Brian throat was hurting so i said something to Cambry's Dr. and he told Brian to go down to admitting and check himself in so he could do a strep test. So Brian checked himself in and then there were 2. (patients). His test came back neg but they gave him something for the sorethroat and we were back to focusing on little toad. She went into surgery at 3:00 and was done by 3:25. They did it Laporscopicly so there is only 3 little holes in her tummy and they didn't have to do much damage to the muscles. they put a balloon in her stomach through these holes then blow the balloon up and go right to the Appendix. then pull it all out through the different holes, It is amazing. she did so good and everything went really well. the Dr. said that if it had stayed in only 12 more hours it would have ruptured and we would have been staying in the hospital for at least 5 days. so we feel very blessed. She woke up pretty late that night and only had to be given morphine once. Brian sent me home to shower and SLEEP! I had a migraine that started about 11:00 that morning and lasted till I showered and took a sleeping pill. It was horrible. but we were so glad that all went well with Cambry and that she was doing better. Her fever spiked after surgery so they gave some meds and she did better. Mom and dad took me to the hospital the next morning (5-7-08) and Grandma and Grandpa B went along with Doyle and when we got there Brian said that she was released and could take her home. She didn't want to go back to another bed so we took her with us to the science center and to eat and she loved it. Besides her bed head you wouldn't know that she had just had and appendectamy. we got her back to sarah and nathan's and showered her and cleaned her up then went to the talent show for the reunion. she loved it but wanted to run and play with all the cousins and that just wasn't going to happen. we enjoyed spending the time we had with mom's family and loved seeing all the cousins that were there. we left the reunion about 10:00 pm and went back to sarah and nathans put the kids to bed and we all went to bed around 1:30am(6-8-08) we got up at 5:30 to get ready to go to the airport loaded the kids in the car got to the airport and got back to safford about 1:30 this afternoon.

Brian let me take a much needed nap as did he and now we are unpacking. fun fun.

Brian and I were standing in our bathroom and just started laughing right after we got home. we felt like this weekend was all just a bad dream and we never left home. funny how life throws you a curve and it's all about how you deal with it and take it that makes all the difference in the world. we feel so blessed that everything happened the way it did. I am so glad we were in Salt Lake when this all happened cause I think things would have turned out WAY different if we were still in safford. The care we recieved is undescribable and I love the Primary Childrens Hospital for all they did for us.

thank you for all the prayers and help from family cause i know we just couldn't have done it with out you. love you all

I'm so glad you guys are back and doing better. I'm so glad Cambry is doing better and I can't wait to give her the biggest hug ever. I agree it was good that you were near such a great hospital but the selfish part of me hated that you were so far away. I felt so helpless. Give Cambry kisses for me until I see her in a week or so! Love you Toad!

Hey Tif, yes we are having another baby and no it was not planned! That's what we get for being apart for almost 3 months. What crazy people we are....hopefully this will be my girl and then we are done. Do you have any babies in the future or are you done? I know you have such problems with your back.
