Just give this a read........

Just read this......I know I know!!!!
I found this on a blog and thought its was pretty good stuff!!!!
Prevent Swine Flu -
Good AdviceDr. Vinay Goyal is an MBBS,DRM,DNB (Intensivist and Thyroid specialist) having clinical experience of over 20 years. He has worked in institutions like Hinduja Hospital ,Bombay Hospital , Saifee Hospital , Tata Memorial etc.. Presently, he is heading our Nuclear Medicine Department and Thyroid clinic at Riddhivinayak Cardiac and Critical Centre, Malad (W).The following message given by him, I feel makes a lot of sense and is important for all to knowThe only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.
While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):
1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).
2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).
3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected o ne. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.
4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.
*5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.
6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, hot cocoa, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

It's Chill time.....

Cambry came running in this morning before her ride showed up and said it was really cold and she needed a coat!!! It is beginning to look a lot like fall......the trees are changing and the air has a bite to it now!!! I hear some of my family in Utah and other places are enjoying the first falls of snowflakes, "what the"....I am glad we don't have the fluries falling upon us I'm not that good with the cold cold snow!!! And Brian would love to move to colorado or Montana, not to sure of that.....or like that would ever happen!!!! So I guess I don't have to worry about that.
I am so excited however that I will be 16 weeks tomorrow and that this is moving along somewhat for me. Right now it's Funyuns with Twist Ice cream cones that tickle my fancy. I don't think the scale will have a problem on the 8th at my dr's appt of tipping to the higher number!!!!! Can't there be something else that I crave like fruit and salad!!! Not with this one! Thank goodness the colder weather is soon arriving so that I can cover myself up a little and not look to huge!!!! Is that possible?!

Me and Bubba D........

Today bubba D and I went out to lunch after his preschool got out!!! What a good boy he was! He was just fine with Chinese which is what mom really wanted!!! Then it was off to dad's work to see if the new CKC shirts that this little man is obsessed with were in!!! We have gone in every day this week to ask uncle Justin if the shirts had come in! Well today they did and so as mom and dad went to get dad some lunch Doyle hung out with uncle spencer and helped him organize all the shirts, 4 boxes worth, ask uncle spencer how big a helper he was!!!!! Daddy even bought little onesies for the new little addition coming to our family. I asked Brian if he got a different color than orange but he said no. What if this new little one looks fashionably hip in pink, he didn't even think of that!!!! hhhhmmmm guess we'll have to see in a few weeks (the 19th) to be exact if it will be pink or orange!!! time will tell........
I love havin one on one time with Bubba D, he's growin up way too fast!!! He is his daddy's little shadow and loves any minute he has with his dad!!!! I love it!!! Little boy's are the best......

My Thanks.....

I was having an okay day today and would love to start doing some of the yummy things I have seen on different blogs and give them to people that have helped me over the last four months....I know I know they all deserve a huge Hawaiian cruise but I hear this isn't the time to go on one of those, darn it, so they'll have to settle for some cookin in stead. sorry guys. we were able to take the kids to the mountains for some much needed family time, and we had so much fun. the kids loved loved loooking at all the trees that were changing color for fall and then we parked and made a fire, ate roasted marshmellow, and strawberries, the kids swear they are delish (doyle)sorry Bubba D wanted to type his own name) I didn't try the strawberries but I will take their word on it!!! Did a little hunting (that's a whole other post)(it in volves a squirrell) so funny anyway Brian napped alittle on the grass which looked so inviting. the dogs got walked and walked and walked. I did quite well and was really surprised!!! Just had to keep poppin that Benedryl ;)
I didn't have my battery for my camera so no pictures taken which makes me so sad cause Brian made T-Pees with the kids and started a drive way with afault ( as Doyle) put it!!!! He wants to go back up and finish what he started. (Doyle just came in with the pants he had on from yesterday and said "Hey these smell like Heather and Trevors" I said yeah they smell like campfire smoke and need to be washed. He then said "no mom this is what pants are supposed to smell like it means you worked hard in um" He is so funny!!! Then he just put one foot forward and stepped back and said as he winked and held out his thumb and said" mom what if I walked up and said "Hey, girls" (in a hick cowboy voice) He is cracking me up...........
Well say a little prayer that this day goes good!!! I crave those days so badly!!!!!!!!
